ATLAS Partnership in Richmond, VA, seeks actor/educators to audition for the casts of two touring educational programs, We the People and Walking the Line.
We the People tells the story of the American Revolution era through songs written and sung during that time by both free and enslaved populations. It will feature a racially diverse cast of four singing actors; two female, two male. Playing a guitar or similar instrument is a plus, but not required.
Walking the Line is an alcohol and other drug misuse prevention/early intervention program for middle and high school students, performed by a diverse cast of five actors (no singing required); two male; two female; one non-gender-specific. All actors must be able to portray teens. Two of the male roles also play adults.
Actors may audition for one or both shows.

Employment Status and Compensation: Full-time seasonal salaried actor/educator positions, 40-50 hours/week, $850 per week. For actors from outside RVA, a housing stipend may be available depending upon the actor’s circumstances.
Performance Venues: Public schools and venues within a 2-hour drive of Richmond, VA
Performance Dates:
We the People: Weekdays and possible weekends, Oct. 2026 – Feb. 2027
Walking the Line: Weekdays, Feb. – May 2027
Rehearsal Dates:
We the People: Weekdays/possible weekends beginning Sept. 2026 (specific dates and location TBD)
Walking the Line: Weekdays/possible weekends beginning week of Jan. 2027 (specific dates and location TBD)
AUDITIONS
Audition Dates: Tue., Sept. 1, Wed., Sept. 2, and Thu., Sept. 3, 2026
Audition Times: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 6:00 – 9:00 PM, all days
Audition Location: Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 W. Huguenot Rd., Bon Air, VA 23235
Preparation:

1-2 minute monologue (any genre)

If auditioning for We the People, prepare 16-32 bars of a song in any style to be sung acapella or
self-accompanied on your instrument. -
